TEMA-LITOCLEAN Group celebrates World Water Day
Water is an essential resource for the wellbeing of people and the Environment.
"Do not leave anyone behind" is the motto of this year’s World Water Day, celebrated on March 22. The argument is based on the main promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which is to guarantee the availability and sustainable management of water by 2030.
Water is a fundamental element in the life of all us, but also for our environment, it has a key role both in the reduction of poverty and in economic growth, as well as in environmental sustainability. Water goes together with well-being; it directly affects food security and human and environmental health.
In 2010, the United Nations Organisation recognised the right to drinking water and sanitation as an essential human right for the full enjoyment of life and human rights. However, there are now millions of people in the world who do not have access to drinking water.
In its firm commitment to the environment protection and the fundamental rights of people, the TEMA-LITOCLEAN group joins the celebration of this day, and claims the importance of making a responsible use of water and the rest of the natural resources, applying these statements in our activities and projects.
